WVC Rededicates Paul Thomas Sr. Baseball Stadium May 9

Wenatchee Valley College will rededicate Paul Thomas Sr. Baseball Stadium on Wednesday, May 9 at 12:40 p.m. A brief ceremony will recognize Dalton Thomas, president and owner of Oneonta Starr Ranch Growers and son of the late Paul Thomas Sr., for his donation of the extensive remodel project to revitalize the baseball stadium and grounds.

The current remodel project includes “new seating, new paint, new signage, even new dirt,” said Greg Franz, WVC athletic director.

Originally constructed in the early 1990’s, the stadium included seats recycled from the Kingdome. The stadium was named for Paul Thomas Sr., a strong supporter of WVC athletics and primary donor for the field.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and stay for the WVC Knights baseball game at 1:00 p.m. versus league-leading Columbia Basin College. Complimentary burgers and hotdogs will be provided.
